Dr. Mario H. Salinas began his tenure as Superintendent of Schools for the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District on February 16, 2021. ECISD serves more than 34,000 students at 43 campuses and stretches 945-square miles, making it one of the nation's biggest landmass school districts.
